Program Description

Reward yourself with a celebration of epic proportion as Choral Arts Philadelphia presents ALL six of the Cantatas known as the Christmas Oratorio. Originally performed in 1733/1734, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio was presented over the 12 days of Christmas. While we won’t make use of all 12 days, audiences can enjoy an action packed night that features the full forces of Choral Arts’ chorus, soloists, and the Philadelphia Bach Collegium baroque orchestra. Truly one of the favorite Holiday traditions in Philadelphia.
